Today's race location was a new one for us all. We began our morning at the Black Rock Ranger Station about 39 miles from Jackson Hole.

This new location offered the mushers a quick trip from their trucks to the starting line. We had on and off snow flurries all morning. Today's trail was 30 miles through a snowy wonderland.

There was a lot of excitement at the trucks as the mushers reminisced about all of the fun that they have had over the past week. We did have a birthday today. Buddy Streeper (husband of Lina Streeper) was having his birthday and the handlers, crew and dogs did a great job wishing him a very happy birthday.

We are so happy that you could join us for this year's race. Check out the result of today's race and the overall standing. We hope to meet some of you on the trail for the 2022 race season!
