Today in Pinedale was AMAZING! We woke up to a winter wonderland with tons of snow and a chilly breeze—perfect weather for an epic dog sled race!

Austin Forney out on the trail.

The mushers and their super-excited dogs were ready to zoom down the 34.5-mile trail. On our way to the race start, we even spotted some moose munching on willows—so cool!

At 9:00 AM, the first team dashed out of the chute, cheered on by a crowd of spectators from Pinedale. Every three minutes, another musher and their tail-wagging teammates took off, eager to race through the snow. Before starting, each musher gave their pups lots of love, making sure they were pumped up and ready to go. We LOVE seeing the special bond between the mushers and their sled dogs!

While the racers were out on the trail, their handlers stayed busy back at the staging area, taking care of the rest of the dogs and chatting with each other. After about two hours and twenty minutes of racing, the teams started zooming back in!

And guess what? Anny Malo had the fastest time today and will wear the yellow bib for tomorrow’s stage in Pinedale. Way to go, Anny! Check out today's results. It was a great day for all of our teams!!

We can’t wait for another day of snowy, tail-wagging, sled-racing fun! Stay tuned!
